I’m having camera sd card drama at the moment so until that’s sorted I thought I should try post something.
I thought i’d post about ways to be a thrifty bitch because who wants to pay full price for clothes…NOT ME
I have a thrifty mind when I shop and the majority of my closets made up of thrifty buys so heres my go to on being thrifty, looking good and saving money
Ebay is your friend.
Thrifty bitches eat your heart out
Getting topshop buys for £10 instead of £50 feels super good
Bid wisely and carefully,
Search through pages even if it takes forever you’ll find a gold mine ( I did in my 99p birthday dress)
Check out boutiques and ebay shops, they have things for a steal
Charity shops are your friend
I don’t mean the dingy one down your road…I mean the ones on that really cool vintage street/retail street
You can get beautiful vintage finds and on trend clothing for next to nothing
Do your research and find the right charity shops and spend, spend, spend
Car boot sales are your friends….sometimes
Car boots are a hit and miss but when there a hit you can score Jeffrey Campbells for less than £10 (YES, THIS HAPPENS)
The next time you have a free Sunday don’t be lazy get out and find your nearest car boot and you may be in for a treat
Sales are most definitely your friend
I get the majority of my things from sales, who cares if that jean styles gone out of fashion
wearing it out of season and matching it with this season gives a total new outlook on a trend
Get up early, dress appropriately and don’t be afraid to have a little tussle…if you want that top you’re gonna get that top!
Sales save you money, keep you happy and give you bargains left right and center
the next time you’re shopping hit the sales section first, you’ll be pleasantly surprised
Vintage is your friend!
Vintage stores are great for individual pieces to add to your closet!
It doesn’t matter that it was worn however long ago that’s what makes it better and you know it’s one of a kind
I scored my checkered, mink fur collar coat from the 40′s for just £40….STEAL
Be thrifty with vintage
Vouchers are your friends
Ask for them for your birthday, Christmas etc
Don’t spend them at one time on something small
Keep them and save them for a special flash sale or a special occasion and you’ll be surprised at how much you save on that special item
e.g. I went into Topshop found my ball dress in the sale reduced from £70 to £15, used my Topshop voucher of £20 and boom I basically spent no money on a dress that looks like it should cost a bomb
I hope this made sense and was kind of helpful if you needed any tips on updating your wardrobe etc without bankrupting yourself
